doors instead of dispensing pharmacies to save on logistics. This is the Danish business plan, currently being considered by the Government, which provides for the opening of "pickup points" of drugs in post offices, petrol stations and supermarkets. At the moment there are 250 pharmacies in Denmark - one every 17 thousand inhabitants - and the goal of the plan is to put competing principals making more flexible opening hours: "A more competitive market" says the plan "will lead to closures of many rural pharmacies, but will allow significant cost savings."
