Si tratta di carica pubblica che, per sua stessa natura, obbliga chi la ricopre ad un costante confronto, anche con chi non la pensa come lui, dal momento che, una volta nominato come assessore, rappresenta tutti i Liguri e non only those of his party.

Mentre non si fa alcun riferimento al Modulo di Oncologia (inaugurato solo qualche mese fa dalla Direzione Aziendale alla presenza di numerosi politici locali e regionali); si vocifera che l’Urologia ritornerà a la Spezia; il Primario Medico è ufficialmente in pensione, il Primario Ginecologo e l’Anestesista sono stati costretti al pensionamento anticipato e il Primario Ortopedico andrà in pensione dal prossimo mese di febbraio (già sapendo che nessuno di loro verrà ovviamente sostituito, in quanto nel frattempo sono state richieste alla Regione 22 deroghe per l’assunzione di nuovi dirigenti medici, ma tutte per l’ospedale di La Spezia e nessuna per quello di Sarzana !).

          Non è certamente questo l’ospedale di Michelucci che i Sarzanesi hanno atteso per decenni; né più quello inaugurato nel 2000 dal ministro Bindi e successivamente approvato e complimentato dal ministroVeronesi; e purtroppo neanche quello al quale ho dedicato 30 anni della mia vita professionale.

Il fallimento del “S. Bartolomeo” rappresenta una grande occasione perduta: prima di tutto dai politici locali (che invece di adeguatamente difenderlo – come sarebbe stato loro imprescindibile dovere - lo hanno letteralmente svenduto); ma anche da tutti gli operatori sanitari che hanno inutilmente sperato in un suo consistente  e reale potenziamento (che avrebbe potuto farne un ospedale di assoluta eccellenza); ma soprattutto, purtroppo, dagli abitanti della Val di Magra, che oggi non possono più far nascere a Sarzana i propri figli e domani dovranno rivolgersi altrove per un qualsiasi mal di pancia !
